Tyson Properties Westville - Talk and Action

Category News

Tyson Properites Westville's Lee Ellis and his team are thrilled to receive the 2013 CARE award - the Community Awards in Real Estate - but as Lee says, "of course we are delighted with the acknowledgement of our work in the community, but our motivation is all about making a meaningful contribution. Wherever possible, we dont just hand over cheques, we roll up our sleeves and get involved. Our mission is ideally to create opportunities for people to better their own lives, whether its by supplying the tools and materials or transferring skills."

The team at Tyson Properties Westville contributes to numerous charitable projects in the greater Cowies Hill/Westville area - from food parcels at Highway Aged, planting fever trees in the playgrounds of Chesterville preschools, to fund-raising for Compass, an organisation which cares for over 90 abused, abandoned and terminally ill babies. But one in particular involves everybody getting down and dirty! Sondela Creche - for underpriviledged children under five in Chesterville. Lee explained the teams philosophy "we concentrate on helping people understand how families and communities can live better by using fewer natural resources, and growing healthy food in a more sustainable way. We've created a covered vegeratble garden to supplement the children's meals and we assist with, and share skills - watering, weeding, harvesting, fertilising and so on. We've also installed a large water tank."

The team at Tyson Properties Westville consider it their responsibility to make a positive impact on the communities they serve. And they take it seriously.
