Three tips to keep your home cool
Category Design Tips
Keep the heat out
Close the curtains during the hottest time of the day to help keep the summer sun heat out of your home. Blockout curtains or shades are particularly good at keeping the indoor temperature comfortably cool. Open up again during the later afternoon to allow the beautiful last light before sunset to flood in.
Let the air move
While the aircon will do wonders in chilling the air, it is important to keep the chilled air flowing if you want to feel refreshed and cool all the time. The LG ThinQ app provides Fresh Air Mode which allows you to turn all your connected air conditioners, ceiling fans and air purifiers on at once.
Watch your electricity bill
Running aircons all day and night during summer can make for a hefty electricity bill at the end of the month. Switching your cooling devices off for a while once the room has reached a pleasant temperature is a good idea. If you have a smart air con, you can opt for the "powered off" mode. They also let you monitor how much energy they're consuming - helping you to keep those bills down and your energy footprint in check for an eco-friendly summer.
