The designers of these 10 kitchens incorporated banquette seating into the islands to promote easy conversation, with guests able to face one another while talking. Kitchen Design Concepts added a banquette to the back of the island in this Dallas kitchen for homeowners who wanted enough space for all their grandchildren to squeeze in during family meals.
2. Dark and Light Delight
A dark ebony-stained dining table and chairs provide sharp contrast to the cream-colored upholstered banquette. This traditional Atlanta kitchen was designed by Insidesign.
3. Coastal Charm in the Heartland
The team at Jeff Sheats Designs says the homeowners wanted a coastal look for their remodeled Indianapolis kitchen. The custom banquette features a white beadboard exterior paired with a striped upholstered back.
